Just taking a break - Open Edition Giclee Art Print

This is a high quality giclee print of the original artwork 'Just taking a break' by William Gorman.

"Back in 2014, when I started drawing again, I was initially tackling pet portrait commissions. At the same time, I was trying to come up with humorous countryside / gundog scenes. 'Just taking a break' was the first of these and whilst I can recall doing that first sketch, I can't recall how I came up with the idea. I know I was thinking along the lines of a shooting theme whereupon the animal being hunted gets one up on its hunter, this is a recurring theme in some of my illustrations (namely 'Kamikaze'). 

The scene depicts a cock pheasant relaxing up a tree and 'taking a break' from being hunted while the small shooting party passes by. The original artwork was completed in ink & watercolour".

This illustration has been printed on smooth acid free 100% cotton rag 310gsm paper and each print has been titled and signed (in pencil) by the artist. There is a substantial white border added around the artwork. The image measures 24.7cm x 18.8cm (not including the title and signature). The approximate size of the paper is 31.3cm x 23.8cm. 

I have scaled this print to suit a 14 x 12 inch frame (with mount). 

Please note that you are purchasing an unframed and unmounted print.

All prints will be dispatched flat. The print will be protected by acid free tissue paper, placed in a cellophane pocket and sandwiched between a hard backing board and a cardboard sheet before finally being wrapped in brown kraft parcel paper.
