Children's Book The Castle Cat written by Alasdair Hutton

In 2020, I was commissioned by Jayne at Foggie Toddle Books to produce illustrations for Alasdair Hutton's children's book 'The Castle Cat'.

The Castle Cat is a lovely picture book by Alasdair Hutton who has been the 'Voice' of the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo for thirty years. It tells the story of a hungry, stray kitten who unexpectedly finds a new home after following some soldiers. They decide to adopt him and take him back to their barracks in Edinburgh Castle. But will he ever really feel at home in the busy bustle of city life? The story is ideal to share with wee ones or for early readers whilst the pictures are full of interesting features from the castle in Scotland’s capital city.
